Genius loci and technology
The vena del Gesso Romagnola, rotected by a regional park since 2005, is a spectacular grayish 25 km long mountainous cordon.
The entire complex of evaporitic rocks appears as an unmistakable element of the Romagna landscape, with the visible overlapping strips of gypsum and clay giving it a unique layered appearance. Abysses, caves, canyons, dolines, sinkholes follow one another along the ridge and represent a precious and rare natural element. The proposed route, a crossing from Borgo Tossignano to Borgo Rivola, is a beautiful excursion itinerary suitable for everyone.
